What this is
A complete, free directory of every licensed certified public accountant and CPA firm in Florida — 29952 CPAs, 4599 firms, across 698 cities and 66 counties. You can look anyone up by name, license number, city, or county without creating an account or paying anything.
Why it exists
Anyone with a preparer tax ID can charge to file your return. Only a CPA, an enrolled agent, or an attorney can represent you before the IRS if that return is ever questioned. The state publishes who holds a license, but the official lookup answers one name at a time and assumes you already know who you are looking for.
This site turns that register into something you can browse: by city, by county, by name. If you already know who you want, verify them in seconds. If you don't, tell us what you need and we'll make an introduction.
Where the data comes from
Every listing is built from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation's public licensee register, published as a public record under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. We refresh it weekly.
The register covers credentials — license number, issue date, expiration, and status. It does not publish phone numbers, email addresses, or employers, so neither do we. That also means we cannot tell you what a CPA charges or what they specialize in unless they tell us themselves.
The state disclaims the accuracy and completeness of its own extract, and a weekly copy can lag reality. Before you hire anyone, confirm their current license status — and any disciplinary history — directly with the board.
We don't publish CPAs' home addresses
The state register includes each licensee's registered address. For roughly 87% of Florida CPAs that address is their home, because a home address is what you register when you hold a license as an individual rather than through a firm.
Publishing it would mean publishing around 26,000 home addresses. We don't — not in the pages, not in the page source, not in the structured data a search engine reads. City and county are as precise as this site gets. It is a public record, and we still don't think a directory should be the thing that makes it convenient.

Who runs it
I'm Brooks Conkle, an entrepreneur and online creator in Mobile, Alabama. I built CPAsinAlabama.com (opens in new tab) first, for my own state — as a business owner I found it genuinely hard to track down a good CPA, with the information scattered across outdated and clunky government search tools.
I live about thirty minutes from the Florida line, close enough that Florida never felt like someone else's state. It has four times as many CPAs as Alabama and the same scattered public records, so I built this one too.

How it stays free
Browsing and searching is free, always, and there's no charge to be listed — every licensed CPA in the state register is here whether they know it or not. CPAs can optionally pay to upgrade a listing with a photo, bio, specialties, and contact details, and firms can pay for introductions. That's what keeps the lights on. No pay-to-rank games.
