Privacy Policy

We publish a copy of Florida's public CPA licence register, minus the home addresses it contains. If you fill in a form, we use what you tell us to answer you — nothing else. If you are a licensed CPA and would rather not be listed, ask and we will remove you.

1. Who we are

Florida CPA Directory is operated by Kea Marketing LLC, based in Alabama. We are an independent directory and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation or any state agency. You can reach us at info@cpasinflorida.com or through our contact page.

2. Directory listings

Our listings of certified public accountants and CPA firms come from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation's licensee register, published as a public record under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. We refresh our copy weekly.

What we publish

  • Name, as recorded on the licence
  • Licence number, issue date, expiration date, and status
  • City and county

What we deliberately do not publish

The state register includes each licensee's registered address. For most individual CPAs that is a home address. We do not publish it anywhere — not in page content, not in the page source, and not in the structured data search engines read. We also do not publish postal codes. City and county are the most precise location this site discloses.

The register does not contain phone numbers, email addresses, or employers, so we hold none for licensees except where a CPA gives them to us directly.

Correcting or removing your listing

If you are a licensed CPA or represent a listed firm, you may ask us to correct your listing or remove it entirely. You do not need to give a reason. Contact us with your licence number and we will act on it. Removal from this site does not change the underlying public record held by the state — only the board can do that.

3. Information you give us

When you submit a form, we collect what you type into it:

  • Matching requests — your name, email, optional phone number, city, the service you need, your timeline, location preference, and any details you add.
  • Contact messages — your name, email, topic, and message.

We use this only to respond to you and, for matching requests, to make the introduction you asked for. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

Phone numbers and consent records

The phone field is optional and you can submit a request without it. If you give us a number and tick the consent box, we record the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the IP address the submission came from. We keep that record because laws governing calls and texts require us to be able to show what you actually consented to. If you do not tick the box, we discard the number rather than store it.

You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text or emailing info@cpasinflorida.com. See Section 5 of our Terms.

4. Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — for security and reliability. If website analytics are enabled, we may also collect aggregate usage data such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors are located by region.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and we do not run third-party ad networks on this site.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the site, and with the CPAs you ask to be introduced to:

  • Vercel Inc. — website hosting and content delivery. Processes server logs and request data.
  • Resend — delivers form submissions to our inbox as email. Processes whatever you put in a form.
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) — aggregate website analytics, where enabled.
  • The CPA or firm we match you with — when you submit a matching request, we pass on what you told us so they can respond. This is the point of the request, and the form says so before you submit it.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We do not sell personal information.

6. How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Remove your directory listing, if you are a listed licensee

Email info@cpasinflorida.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR; we honour these requests regardless of whether a particular law applies to you.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Security and breach notification

The site is served over HTTPS and we limit access to submitted information to the people who need it. We maintain reasonable security measures appropriate to the limited amount of personal information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we determine that a breach has occurred and is reasonably likely to cause substantial harm to you, we will notify you as promptly as possible and in any event within 45 days of that determination, as required by Alabama's data breach notification law. Where a breach affects more than 1,000 people, we will also notify the Alabama Attorney General and consumer reporting agencies as that law requires. Our notice will describe what happened, what information was involved, and what you can do about it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
